Natalie Portman Is 'Indescribably Happy'

Natalie Portman is set to add two new roles in her life, a mom and a wife. The 29-year-old actress is expecting her first child together with boyfriend Benjamin Millepied and the couple is now engaged.

Shortly after the news hit the headlines, Natalie shared her thoughts on her double happiness. In a statement released exclusively via Entertainment Weekly, she says, "I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience."

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, who choreographed the ballet scenes in "Black Swan", met on the set of the movie. The couple reportedly started dating early this year but remained quiet about their relationship. The 33-year-old French-born principal dancer at the New York City Ballet also played the role of Portman's dancing partner in the psychological thriller from director Darren Aronofsky.

Portman has nabbed nominations at Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards for her performance in the film, which is currently playing in U.S. theaters.

Alanis Morissette received an extra special gift over the holiday weekend - the singer gave birth to a son on Christmas Day. The "Ironic" hitmaker welcomed her first child, a boy named Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway, on Saturday, December 25 with her rapper husband MC Souleye, real name Mario Treadway.

A representative for the singer confirmed the happy news to GossipCop, saying, "Alanis Morissette and Mario 'Souleye' Treadway welcomed a baby boy, Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway, on Dec. 25th... All are healthy and happy."

Alanis Morissette and Souleye tied the knot in a secret ceremony on May 22 this year. The couple announced that they were expecting in August. The "Hands Clean" hitmaker later revealed that her baby is a boy.

Lenny Kravitz has recorded a touching tribute to Teena Marie, insisting he "would not be here" if the singer/songwriter had not saved him from "living on the street" when he was a teenager. The 54 year old, born Mary Christine Brockert, passed away in her sleep at her home in Pasadena, California on Sunday, December 26.

Kravitz, 46, has opened up about his bond with Marie, revealing she took him in when he was a teen - and he's convinced his life would have been very different without the late singer's care and nurturing. In a sombre video tribute posted on YouTube.com on Monday, the "Fly Away" hitmaker says, "I woke up to the tragic news that my longterm friend Teena Marie passed away."

"I just want to say that Teena Marie was a treasure. A genius. Composer, arranger, singer, musician. Unique... underrated by far. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Teena. She took me in when I was around 16... I was just a musician on the street, I was living from pillar to post. She took me in, she gave me a bedroom, she fed me, she cooked for me, she took care of me. She gave me instruments to play, she took me to all her recording sessions. She took me to concerts. She nurtured me and helped me to become who I am."

"I would not be here (without her). She changed my life not only as an artist but as a person who truly loved me for who I was. Teena... I will always love and respect you. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you Father, for the life of Teena Marie."
