Mel Gibson will miss his daughter Lucia's first birthday on Saturday, October 30 - a request for the baby to be allowed to stay with her father overnight has been turned down by a judge. The "Lethal Weapon" star has asked a court to extend his visitation rights this weekend because a nanny responsible for returning Lucia to her mother, Oksana Grigorieva, on Friday, October 29 has fallen ill.

If officials had agreed to the request, the actor would have spent some time with his daughter on her first birthday - but the plea was turned down because Gibson has more than one aide he can call on, according to TMZ.com.

Grigorieva, who split from Gibson earlier this year, alleged in legal papers that she believes the actor already has too much access to their baby.

"I definitely had some pretty amazing willpower to get down to 82 pounds," the actress adds. "And that's what I was holding onto to. I didn't think about anything else."

Anna Nicole Smith's longtime doctor and friend Khristine Eroshevich has been convicted of conspiracy in the model/actress' 2007 drug death. Smith's lawyer and companion Howard K. Stern has also been found guilty on some charges at a trial alleging the pair conspired to prescribe prescription drugs to an addict.

A Los Angeles jury returned mixed verdicts on Thursday afternoon, October 28 in the two-month drug trial. The jury members found psychiatrist Eroshevich guilty of four counts of obtaining medication through fraud, but were left deadlocked on two additional charges of illegally obtaining controlled substances for an addict.

Stern was found not guilty on seven counts of obtaining and providing drugs to an addict, but he was convicted of two conspiracy counts of aiding and abetting. Both Eroshevich and Stern face prison time. Sentencing is scheduled for January 6. A third defendant, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, was acquitted on all counts.

Attorneys for Stern, Kapoor and Eroshevich argued during the trial that each of their clients were acting in Smith's best interests and helping someone with documented pain and depression. Smith died following a prescription drug overdose in a Florida hotel in February, 2007.

Jodie Sweetin's ex-husband is taking legal action against the actress over her portrayal of him in her recent autobiography. The former child star released her tell-all book, "UnSweetined", earlier this month, lifting the lid on her battle with drugs and alcohol and her marriage to Cody Herpin, who she divorced earlier this year.

But Herpin is not happy about the way he has been depicted in the book, and has filed suit against his ex-wife for allegedly portraying him in a "false light". In the suit, filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court, Herpin claims his former partner has depicted him as "lazy, unwilling to provide and support his family, uncaring, vindictive, unsupportive and disinterested" in Sweetin's pregnancy when she was expecting their daughter, Zoie.

Herpin is also suing the book's publisher Simon & Schuster, according to TMZ.com.

Silverman says, "Last year, American Jewish World Services gave away more than $22 million in grants. That really throws a wrench in the 'Jews are cheap' premise. I mean, if you think that's cheap, there's no way you're Asian, because you're really bad at math."

Drug Dealer Never Shows Remorse on Setting Up The Rolling Stones

The drug dealer the The Rolling Stones blamed for setting them up in a high-profile raid on Keith Richards' England home in the 1960s "never showed any remorse" for almost ruining the rockers' careers, according to the police informant's former lover. Richards and Mick Jagger faced charges for possession of cannabis and amphetamines after cops stormed the guitarist's Sussex country estate during a wild party in 1967.

For years the pair blamed a man known only as the Acid King for tipping off cops about the drug and alcohol-fueled bash, because he disappeared and was never seen again after supplying them with the illegal substances. In his new autobiography, "Life", Richards revealed the identity of the Acid King as David Sniderman, claiming he was a police informant who worked with authorities to target the Stones, amid fears about the rockers' growing influence over British youths.

Now the U.K.'s Mail on Sunday newspaper reports Sniderman was a failed actor from Toronto, Canada, who was recruited by undercover agents from the U.K. and U.S. to help discredit the band. Sniderman reportedly escaped to Hollywood after the drug raid and changed his name to David Jove, working as a film producer and director.

And according to his ex-girlfriend, talent agent Maggie Abbott, Sniderman never regretted turning the Stones over to the authorities. She says, "David was a heavy drug user but had a quick wit. He was the perfect choice to infiltrate the Stones."

"He never showed any remorse for what he did. It was all about how he had been 'the victim'. He was a totally selfish person. Mick had been my friend as well as a client and I thought about trying to persuade David to come clean publicly. But he was always armed with a handgun and I feared that if I gave him away, he'd shoot me."

Sniderman allegedly agreed to set up the rock legends after he was caught carrying marijuana through U.K. customs. He died in 2004.
